THE FACE AFTER IMAGE

A long-term investigation into algorithmic beauty and human presence.

Galina Hartinger is a multidisciplinary artist working between AI-generated imagery and material portraiture.
Her practice examines the face as a cultural interface shaped by algorithmic desire, cultural memory, and human vulnerability.

Across digital and physical media, she investigates how contemporary standards of beauty are constructed, standardized, and internalized — and how the human image resists erasure.

About

My art is multilayered, merging painting, digital art, and elements of artificial intelligence to create images that explore and provoke thoughts about the role of personality in contemporary society. With every brushstroke, every pixel, I aim to underscore that our true strength lies in our ability to be ourselves, despite all attempts by the world to hide this truth beneath conveniently consumable images.
